@do-you-have-a-flag has asked me how ms murder she wrote (Jessica??) solves crimes and I don’t know yet because Murder She Wrote has been on my watch list for years but I’ve never gotten around to it. Anyone who suffers through my blog may have noticed that I’ve been on a revisiting detective blorbos kick lately and Dirk Gently is next but [Chris Allen in Holy Musical Batman! as Alfred Pennyworth as played by Michael Caine voice] I may. Make a cheeky lil stop off. On the way
Either way once I do watch MSW I’ll probably add her to the post BUT if any MSW fans can fill the gap in the meantime I would love to hear your thoughts
Sherlock Holmes solves crimes by being autistic
Poirot solves crimes by reading people for filth
Miss Marple solves crimes by being a nosy bitch
Columbo solves crimes by being annoying
Dirk Gently solves crimes by being inconvenient
And Jonathan Creek solves crimes by making everything about his special interest and having an annoying nosy bitch friend who likes reading people for filth when it’s as inconvenient for them as possible
#hmp42#hmu girl I will reblog#my first ever detective blorbo was Tintin btw#i used to get my father to read the comics to me before I could read and I watched a bit of one of the animated shows#Tintin isn’t here simply bc this is more about murder crime blorbos or predominately murder crime blorbos#whereas he’s a journalist detective adventurer boy#i thiiiiinnnk Marple was next bc I grew up watching her with semi-religious fervour on ABC#i used to dislike Poirot bc like Baby Girl in her anti Poirot phrase#i found him v pompous#then I got a bit older and rewatched stuff and I was like oh!!#this bitch has OCD just like moi!!#and then I rewatched his Messy Era#aka the David Suchet years of season ?9? onwards#you know#the years they started adding in evil lesbians#evil lesbians make everything better#and I was like oh!!!! he is Papa. mine own dear Papa who raised me#Jack and I have said that if we could have anyone be the celebrant at our wedding it would be David Suchet’s Poirot#we would settle for having David Suchet in character all day#or Daniel Radcliffe#this is obviously with the rule that you can’t use the dream celebrant rule to bring someone back from the dead#anyway who was your first detective blorbo dear reader
